Australia and New Zealand continue to be the primary markets for flight searches to Fiji. Brent Hill, the CEO of Tourism Fiji, noted that core countries are utilizing their website effectively for flight inquiries, which is a positive development. He expressed his satisfaction at seeing Japan showing increased interest in Fiji, highlighting that it indicates more Japanese tourists are actively searching for flights and activities in Fiji.

Occupancy rates remain strong, with expectations for July to be another solid month. Future booking data suggests robust numbers ahead. As anticipated, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States are the top three markets. Hill mentioned that a decline from New Zealand is expected due to various economic factors, such as inflation and interest rates, yet overall figures from New Zealand have remained stable.

Recent data indicates a rise in flight searches from Australia (up by 1.9%) and India (up by 0.6%), while searches from New Zealand and Japan have decreased slightly, by 1.2% and 0.4%, respectively.

In terms of accommodation, Fiji recorded an average occupancy rate of 86% for July, with forward bookings projecting an average occupancy of 79% for August and 66% for October. The leading countries searching for accommodations are Australia (35%), New Zealand (31%), and the United States (9.6%).
