The 2025 Fiji Finals will now be held from April 24 to 26 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, as announced by competition director Biu Colati. This rescheduling decision was made to prevent a clash with the Fijian Drua’s Super Rugby Pacific match against the Reds on May 3. Historically, the Coca-Cola Games are scheduled for the first week of May, which had previously led to conflicts with the school calendar.

The Fiji Finals were originally set for the last week of the school term, but the newly established dates fall within week 13 of the school year. This change not only aids schools in better planning but also promotes greater participation in sports among students. Colati emphasized that vital discussions with the Drua and the Minister for Education were instrumental in determining the new dates.

This is not the first occurrence of conflicts affecting the Fiji Finals; a similar situation arose in 2023 when the event was adjusted to avoid clashes with key matches. This trend illustrates a proactive and collaborative approach among sports organizations to enhance community involvement in local events. The ongoing communication between the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association and the Fijian Drua underscores the commitment to accommodating local sports fans and aspiring athletes.

As the 2025 Fiji Finals draw nearer, there is a hopeful outlook for a lively atmosphere at both events, allowing fans to engage fully with the local sports community. This collaboration showcases a profound dedication to sportsmanship, promising to enhance the experience for all participants and spectators alike.
