Fiji FA’s Bold Stand: Strict Compliance or Suspension?

Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) President Rajesh Patel has issued a stern directive to districts nationwide to adhere strictly to mandatory regulations, following the recent 87th Annual Congress of the Fiji FA. Patel made it clear that non-compliance could lead to suspensions for the districts, emphasizing the importance of accountability particularly concerning FIFA funding. “If districts do not follow the mandatory provisions, the districts will be suspended, and then we will take it from there because it is FIFA funding,” he remarked.

Addressing concerns voiced on social media, Patel assured stakeholders of the transparency and accountability of fund utilization. “We provided nearly $400,000 to all districts. This is something the districts have to understand and they have to be accountable for it,” he stated.
