Over 1,500 people are currently sheltered in 58 evacuation centers throughout Fiji, according to the National Disaster Management Office. In the Northern Division, 1,202 evacuees are located in 38 centers, while 294 individuals are accommodated in 19 centers in the Eastern Division. The Central Division has one center housing 22 residents.
The Fiji Meteorological Service reports that while rainfall is expected to continue, it will ease by tonight, only to pick up again on Thursday as a weather system near Vanuatu intensifies and moves southeast, referred to as TD 10F.
