The Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways has issued a strong advisory to farmers to take preventive steps in light of the impending Tropical Depression 09F, which is expected to evolve into a tropical cyclone later today. The Fiji Meteorological Service has already issued a gale warning for several areas, including the eastern parts of Vanua Levu, as well as locations like Cikobia, Naqele Levu, Taveuni, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

In addition to gale warnings, a strong wind advisory remains active for the rest of Vanua Levu and northeastern parts of Viti Levu, extending through Rakiraki and up to Tavua, as well as Yasawa, Mamanuca, and Kadavu islands.
