Several roads in Fiji’s Central Division are currently closed or restricted to one lane due to significant flooding caused by recent heavy rainfall. The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has urged the public to exercise extreme caution when traveling in the affected areas. They also request immediate reporting of any observed road damage.

Currently, Kings Road is closed to all traffic. Other roads that have been closed include Naidiridiri Road 1, Waituri Road, Waila Road, Railagi Road Bridge, and Logani Sebi Crossing Baulevu. Several other routes are open but limited to one lane, including Wainibuku Road, Vishnu Deo Road (accessible only to 4×4 vehicles), Qiolevu Road, Duilomaloma Road, Vusuya Road, Vuci South Road, and some sections of Savu Road in Naitasiri.

The FRA is closely monitoring the situation and is committed to providing ongoing updates as conditions evolve. As the community navigates these temporary challenges, the proactive response from the FRA highlights their dedication to ensuring traveler safety and infrastructure integrity.

Travelers are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully on affected routes. This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of community resilience and awareness in the face of adverse weather conditions, emphasizing the need for preparedness to mitigate risks associated with flooding.
