The Fiji Young Kulas experienced a challenging start at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, suffering a 9-0 loss to Brazil in their opening match. The Brazilian team showcased their skill by netting three rapid goals in the first quarter of the game. They extended their lead to 5-0 by halftime and maintained their dominance throughout the second half. Despite the heavy defeat, the team, led by coach Angeline Chua, demonstrated resilience and a fighting spirit against a formidable opponent. Fiji’s next match is scheduled against Canada on Wednesday at 1 PM. In another Group B match on the same day, France and Canada ended in a 3-3 draw.
