The Fiji Airways men’s sevens team, the defending champions, is set to compete against New Zealand in the upcoming McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s tournament taking place next week in Sigatoka. Under the leadership of coach Osea Kolinisau, Fiji is placed in Pool A alongside New Zealand, Tuva Rugby, and the Brothers Club.
In Pool B, the All Blacks 7s, coached by Tomasi Cama, will face off against Fijian Drua 7s, Seattle Barbarians, and Colo West. Pool C features teams such as BLK Lavidi, Samoa 7s, Bula Bay 7s, and Ratu Filise, while Pool D includes Aussie Select 7s, McDonald’s Mike Friday Select 7s, Devo Babas, and Taikita Brothers.
The tournament is scheduled from January 16 to 18 at Lawaqa Park, promising an exciting display of rugby talent and fierce competition.
