In October, a total of 609 Fijians made the decision to leave the country for an extended period of one year or longer. The data released by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics (FBoS) highlights that out of 14,424 residents who departed Fiji that month, the majority—13,317 individuals—were traveling for short-term visits of less than three months. An additional 498 Fijians left for stays that ranged from three months up to one year.
