The Fiji Meteorological Services has issued a Heavy Rain Warning for the Yasawa and Mamanuca Islands, the Northern Division, and all of Viti Levu. Additionally, a Heavy Rain Alert has been activated for the rest of Fiji due to an active trough of low pressure, which is expected to bring widespread rain across the country.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDRMO) has cautioned residents about the potential for flash flooding and has advised motorists to be vigilant and drive with care, given the anticipated poor road conditions.

Citizens are encouraged to stay updated with the latest information from the Fiji Meteorological Services and the NDRMO to ensure safety during this weather event.

As the communities prepare for the heavy rainfall, it serves as a reminder of the importance of staying informed and taking necessary precautions during adverse weather conditions. This proactive approach can help minimize risks and ensure the safety of individuals and families across Fiji.
