Fiji’s Central Division is currently under a heavy rain warning this afternoon, affecting residents and visitors alike. The Northern Division, along with the Yasawa, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups, is also experiencing similar heavy rain conditions.

According to the Nadi weather office, a slow-moving trough of low pressure is currently situated over Fiji, with a shallow low-pressure system located just east of Kadavu. This weather pattern is resulting in significant cloud cover and rainfall across the Central, Eastern, and Northern regions.

The trough and the accompanying low-pressure system are anticipated to move westward, expected to position itself to the west of Fiji by tomorrow. Residents are advised to remain vigilant as these weather conditions may persist, impacting daily activities.
