The Fiji Football Association’s School Holiday Grassroots Program launched yesterday at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa, drawing in over 30 eager children aged between 9 and 14. Officials anticipate that participation will grow in the coming days as parents seek constructive activities for their children during the holiday break.
Designed to emphasize enjoyment, education, and foundational football skills, the program aims to equip young players with essential abilities both on and off the pitch. Fiji FA is actively encouraging parents to enroll their children and make the most of this valuable holiday initiative.
The program is set to continue until December 17, with sessions for 9 to 11-year-olds kicking off at 9 AM, while a specialized session for elite boys will take place at 2 PM. This initiative not only fosters sporting talent but also promotes a sense of community and teamwork among the youth, positioning them for future success in both football and personal development.
