The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Awards Night is set to make a highly anticipated comeback, following a three-year break. This year’s ceremony, featuring 14 prestigious awards, will be positively supported by a new sponsor, Extra Supermarket, promising to enhance the experience for attendees.
Fiji FA CEO Mohammed Yusuf emphasized the significance of this event in strengthening the football community and celebrating the contributions of individuals and teams in the sport. “The awards night aims to unite the football fraternity after a three-year hiatus to recognize the achievements and dedication of clubs,” said Yusuf.
The event will honor the exceptional efforts of players, coaches, teams, officials, and volunteers across Fijian football. Yusuf has encouraged all 20 affiliated clubs of Fiji FA to submit nominations, ensuring that the hard work of their members is celebrated. “We urge all clubs to send in their nominations for the dedication of their players, coaches, officials, and volunteers. We encourage clubs to actively participate so their stars shine at the awards night,” he added.
This year’s ceremony will also introduce new categories to acknowledge the diverse contributions within the football community in Fiji. The awards will include titles such as Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Young Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Futsal Player of the Year, Team of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, Referee of the Year, Elite Player of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.
The Extra Supermarket Fiji FA Awards Night 2024 is scheduled for December 1 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nadi, promising an exciting celebration of football talent and dedication in Fiji.
