The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Awards Night is set to return this year after a three-year break, sparking enthusiasm among football fans and participants alike. The event will feature 14 prestigious awards, with the support of new sponsor Extra Supermarket, ensuring this year’s celebration is more grand than ever.

Fiji FA chief executive officer, Mohammed Yusuf, emphasized the significance of this night as a way to unite the football community while honoring the dedication and achievements of individuals and teams involved in the sport. “This awards night aims to bring the football fraternity together after a three-year hiatus and to celebrate the efforts of the clubs,” Yusuf stated.

This year’s ceremony will recognize outstanding contributions from players, coaches, teams, officials, and volunteers across the Fijian football landscape. Yusuf encouraged all 20 Fiji FA-affiliated clubs to actively participate by nominating their members for the accolades.

He noted the introduction of several new categories to highlight the diverse contributions within Fiji’s football community, such as Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Young Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Futsal Player of the Year (Male and Female), Team of the Year, and more.

The Extra Supermarket Fiji FA Awards Night 2024 will take place on December 1 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nadi, promising to be a night filled with celebration and recognition of the hard work put forth by the heroes of the sport.

This event not only serves as a platform for acknowledgment but also fosters a sense of community and resilience within Fiji’s football sector, paving the way for future growth and success in the sport.

In summary, the return of the Fiji FA Awards Night is a welcome opportunity for recognition within the football community and showcases the talent and dedication found in Fijian football.
