Fiji aims to leverage their home advantage as the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers continue this month in Suva. With the third match day approaching, Coach Rob Sherman is preparing his team to make a strong bid for a spot in the semi-finals, scheduled to take place in New Zealand in early 2025. The coach expresses optimism, having kept most of the squad he coached earlier this year. “We’ve had a couple of friendlies in the September window, so we’ve been working with the team consistently throughout the year. In terms of preparation for the qualifiers, things have gone pretty well, so I’m reasonably happy with the progress we’ve made,” Sherman stated.
