The Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) for 2024 will embrace the theme: Experience Fiji: Land, Sea, and Sky. Debra Sadranu, the chair of FETA, announced this theme earlier this week, noting that it aims to celebrate Fiji’s stunning beauty and rich cultural heritage, while highlighting the interconnectedness of the land, sea, and sky.
“The theme draws inspiration from our new award category, Specialised Tourism Services, as well as our existing Experiences and Attractions category, which focuses on experiential tourism,” she stated. The intention behind the theme is to provide an immersive experience that honors the key elements that shape Fiji’s distinctive tourism appeal.
Sadranu also highlighted the importance of the ANZ FETA in Fiji’s calendar, emphasizing its role in acknowledging outstanding contributions within the tourism sector. “We celebrate the dedication of tourism stakeholders and businesses that are committed to pushing the industry forward while promoting a sustainable future,” she remarked.
Along with the theme announcement, FETA disclosed that the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort will once again host the ANZ FETA gala dinner on February 8, 2025. Rosie Holidays was announced as an official Gold sponsor and is contributing creatively to this year’s event theme.
Brigid Whitton, director of Rosie Holidays Events, expressed their excitement about participating in the awards, stating they aim to elevate the storytelling experience to resonate with the theme. “We believe in sharing Fiji’s narrative through immersive elements that genuinely reflect our landscapes, culture, and spirit,” Whitton stated.
