The Ministry of Education in Fiji has announced a notable improvement in the pass rate for the Eighth Year Exams, achieving 69 percent this year, compared to 67 percent last year. This year, approximately 18,968 students participated in the exams across 712 centers, highlighting a substantial commitment from both students and educational institutions.
Results will be provisional for the next 30 days, allowing students the chance to request either a mark recount for $5 per subject or a remark for $25. Students can conveniently access their results at www.examresults.gov.fj by entering their unique examination identification number and personal credentials.
For those experiencing challenges in retrieving their results online, assistance will be available at their schools or the District Education Office starting tomorrow at 8 am.
Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, expressed his heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all students, parents, guardians, teachers, school management committees, ancillary staff, and all stakeholders involved in this educational journey. This acknowledgment reinforces the collective effort made by the community to enhance educational outcomes.
Overall, this year’s improved pass rate not only reflects the hard work of the students but also emphasizes the ongoing support from families and educators. As Fiji continues to invest in education, there is hope for further improvements and achievements in the future.
