The Ministry of Education in Fiji has announced a 69 percent pass rate for the Eighth Year Exams, showing an improvement from last year’s 67 percent. This year’s exams saw a total of 18,968 students participating across 712 centers.
The results are provisional for a period of 30 days, allowing students the option to request a mark recount for $5 per subject or a full remark for $25 per subject. Students can view their results online at www.examresults.gov.fj by using their unique examination identification numbers and personal credentials. For those who may face challenges accessing their results online, they are encouraged to visit their respective schools or District Education Office starting tomorrow at 8 am.
Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro expressed his congratulations and gratitude to all students, parents, guardians, teachers, school management committees, and ancillary staff for their commitment and hard work throughout the school year.
Overall, this increase in the pass rate reflects a positive trend in the educational sector in Fiji, showing the effectiveness of teaching and learning strategies adopted by schools and the commitment of students and educators alike. It is an encouraging sign for future academic success and the continuous improvement of education standards in the country.
