The Ministry of Education in Fiji has announced a notable improvement in the pass rate for the Fiji Eighth Year Exams, achieving a 69 percent success rate this year, up from 67 percent last year. This positive change reflects the hard work and commitment of students as well as the support from teachers and educational staff.
Approximately 18,968 students participated in the exams, which were conducted at 712 centers across the nation. The results are currently provisional for a period of 30 days, allowing students the chance to request a mark recount for a fee of $5 per subject, or a remark at a cost of $25 per subject, encouraging them to ensure their results accurately reflect their efforts.
Students can access their results online at www.examresults.gov.fj using their unique examination identification number and personal credentials. For those who may face challenges in accessing their results online, assistance is available at their respective schools or District Education Offices starting tomorrow at 8 am.
Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro expressed heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all who participated in the educational process, including students, parents, teachers, and school staff. This acknowledgment emphasizes the collective effort necessary for educational success.
This increase in pass rates can be seen as a hopeful sign of progress within the education system in Fiji, and it highlights the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in nurturing the next generation’s academic achievement.
