The Ministry of Education has announced a notable improvement in the Fiji Eighth Year Exams, with a pass rate of 69 percent this year, up from 67 percent last year. This positive trend reflects the hard work and efforts put in by students and educators alike.
A total of 18,968 students participated in the exams, conducted across 712 centers nationwide. For those who wish to contest their marks, provisional results will be available for 30 days, allowing students the opportunity to request a mark recount for $5 per subject or a remark for $25 per subject.
Every student can access their exam results through the official website using their unique examination identification number and personal credentials. In the event that any students face challenges in retrieving their results online, they are encouraged to visit their respective schools or District Education Office starting tomorrow at 8 am.
Education Minister Aseri Radrodro expressed his congratulations and gratitude to students, parents, guardians, teachers, school management committees, ancillary staff, and the broader community for their commitment and support throughout the academic year.
This consistent increase in the pass rate is a hopeful sign for the future of education in Fiji, suggesting that collective efforts are yielding positive outcomes for students.
