Sivoni Ligaiviu, a dedicated educator from Kadavu Provincial Secondary School, expresses his gratitude for the innovative blended classes offered by Fiji National University (FNU). These classes enabled him to successfully graduate with a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Industrial Arts, despite the geographical challenges of residing in Kadavu.

Originally hailing from Solotavui Village in Kadavu, and with family connections to Waitovu Village in Ovalau, Ligaiviu has consistently prioritized the enhancement of his qualifications. He emphasizes, “I’ve always made it a point to upgrade my qualifications. As a teacher in Kadavu, graduating today was made possible through the online classes offered by FNU.”

Ligaiviu is not stopping here; he has already embarked on Postgraduate units and aspires to achieve a PhD in the future. “It’s important to continue upgrading my qualifications. I’ve already started my Postgraduate units and my goal is to one day earn a PhD,” he stated. He hopes to attain this new qualification by December of next year.

This story showcases the importance of accessible education, especially through online platforms, which allows individuals to pursue their academic aspirations regardless of their location. Ligaiviu’s journey serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of education and the relentless pursuit of personal and professional growth.

In summary, Ligaiviu’s educational achievements reflect his commitment to lifelong learning and exemplify how modern educational methods can empower individuals in remote areas. His goals for further studies indicate a promising future for both himself and his students.
