The Fiji Police Force has announced that the driver accused of causing the death of a 20-year-old man in a motor vehicle accident in Lautoka last week has been charged. According to the police statement, the 30-year-old suspect faces one count of dangerous driving resulting in death. He appeared in the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday, where he was remanded in custody. The case has been postponed until September 30, 2024.
