A couple with Fijian roots has returned to their homeland from New Zealand to celebrate their wedding after dating for over six years. Jiten Lal and Sandya Chand, who have spent nearly three decades living in Auckland, chose Fiji as their wedding destination, embracing their heritage and the opportunity to celebrate with family and friends.
Lal, originally from Nausori, and Chand, from Nadi, met in Manukau, Auckland. After 6 years and 8 months of living together, they decided to tie the knot in the country where they were born. “Fiji is our birth country,” Lal expressed, adding that it felt like a dream location for their marriage, enriched by the presence of loved ones who showered them with blessings.
The couple praised the hospitality they received during their time in Fiji, highlighting the excellent service provided by the Novotel Hotel in Lami. They appreciated the beautiful decorations of the event center, the warmth of the staff, and the amazing food. Moreover, they acknowledged the fantastic services of local businesses in photography, catering, and entertainment, making their wedding even more special than anticipated.
