Fiji Dominates Tonga: A Thrilling Victory in Pacific Nations Cup!

The Flying Fijians secured a decisive victory over Tonga, winning 50-19 in their Pacific Nations Cup match in Tonga this afternoon.

Fiji started strong, scoring three tries within the first ten minutes through Iosefo Masi, Tevita Ikanivere, and Elia Canakaivata, which established an early dominance in the match.

The game took a significant turn when Fiji’s Adrea Cocagi received a red card, allowing Tonga to take advantage of the situation. The Tongan team responded well, scoring three consecutive tries during this period.

However, Fiji managed to maintain their lead, scoring again just before halftime and going into the break with a 26-19 advantage.

In the second half, Fiji’s defense tightened, effectively preventing further scoring attempts from Tonga. The Fijian team continued to press their advantage, scoring three additional tries, ultimately overpowering the Tongan side.
