Fiji achieved a significant victory in the 2024 Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Prime Ministers Cup, defeating the Solomon Islands Development team 3-0 in Honiara. Soon after, Ba youngster Penisoni Tirau, making his senior international debut as a substitute, scored just a minute after coming onto the field, catching the opposition off guard. Nabil Begg, also a substitute, sealed the deal with Fiji’s third goal in the 86th minute.
With this win, Fiji has accumulated five points from three matches and is gearing up for its final match against the Solomon Islands on Saturday.
