Melania Tora of Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been named ‘Queen’ at the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. In her speech during the crowning ceremony, Tora expressed her commitment to using her platform to benefit the Fijian community.
The 24-year-old expressed gratitude to her family for their unwavering support over the past year and acknowledged her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited.
Currently, Tora is pursuing a master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific. She graduated with distinction from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, with a Bachelor of Arts and Psychology. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, and her academic accomplishments highlight her ambition to become a clinical psychologist.
In the competition, the second runner-up title was awarded to Pepe Malani, representing Miss Fiji Fashion Week, while Martina Sigrah, representing Miss Island Accommodation, was named the first runner-up.
