Melania Tora from Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been named the ‘Queen’ of the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. During her crowning ceremony, Tora expressed her commitment to utilizing her platform to benefit the Fijian community.
The 24-year-old expressed gratitude to her family for their unwavering support throughout the year and acknowledged her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited.
Currently, Tora is working towards her master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Psychology with distinction from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, and also possesses a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Tora’s academic accomplishments, coupled with her passion for psychology, are guiding her toward a career as a clinical psychologist.
In the competition, Pepe Malani, representing Miss Fiji Fashion Week, secured the second runner-up position, while Martina Sigrah from Miss Island Accommodation claimed the first runner-up title.
