Melania Tora of Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been crowned the ‘Queen’ of the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. In her brief speech during the crowning ceremony, Tora expressed her commitment to using her title to serve the Fijian community.
The 24-year-old took a moment to thank her supportive family and her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific.
Tora has an impressive academic background, having graduated with distinction in Bachelor of Arts and Psychology from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia. She also holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, with aspirations of becoming a clinical psychologist.
In addition to Tora’s victory, the titles of first and second runner-up were awarded to Martina Sigrah from Miss Island Accommodation and Pepe Malani from Miss Fiji Fashion Week, respectively.
