The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, has initiated deportation proceedings against two UK nationals, Bonnie Blue and Anne Knight, who are known as sex workers. The Fiji Police Force, along with immigration officers, is en route to a hotel in Nadi to carry out the removal of the adult film star from Nottingham.
Minister Tikoduadua declared both women as prohibited immigrants, which also includes a camera operator connected to them. Reports indicate that Blue entered Fiji on a visitor permit last Sunday but was found to have violated the terms of her stay.
The women had previously been banned from entering Australia and have come under scrutiny from the Fiji Police Force due to allegations that they intended to offer free sexual services to 18-year-old boys during the ‘Schoolies’ celebrations in Australia. Allegedly, this plan was publicized on Blue’s Instagram, where she mentioned traveling to the Gold Coast to provide these services in exchange for the ability to film and post the content on her OnlyFans account.
Minister Tikoduadua emphasized that the Ministry is committed to ensuring a swift and lawful deportation process. He stated that this action reflects the Ministry’s dedication to protecting Fiji’s borders and maintaining the integrity of the immigration system. While welcoming visitors, the Minister stressed that any violations of the law would be dealt with firmly to safeguard the nation’s interests.
In a further development, FijiLive has contacted the British High Commission for their comments on the situation.
This situation highlights Fiji’s commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all its citizens and visitors, demonstrating that the government is proactive in upholding immigration laws. The actions taken reinforce the importance of responsible conduct, especially concerning laws and cultural sensitivities in foreign countries.
