Fiji Coral Coast 7s: A Star-Studded Lineup Awaits!

Seven international rugby teams are set to compete in the upcoming McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament in Sigatoka next month. Among the participating teams, the New Zealand and Samoan national teams are the main attractions. Additionally, the Australian and New Zealand development squads will join forces with the Seattle Barbarians and Bula Bay 7s from the United States, along with the prestigious Mike Friday Selection side, known for its star-studded roster.

On the local front, the defending champions, the Fiji 7s team, will compete alongside other regional teams including Fijian Drua 7s, BLK Lavidi Brothers, Tuva Rugby, Devo Babas, Ratu Filise, Colo West Highlanders, Taikita Brothers, and Brothers Club.

The tournament is scheduled to take place at Lawaqa Park from January 16 to 18, promising an exciting weekend of top-tier rugby action.

This event not only showcases the skills of international rugby teams but also strengthens the sport’s grassroots presence in Fiji. With a mix of local talent and international stars, fans can look forward to thrilling matches that could inspire future generations of players in the region.
