Seven international teams are set to compete in the upcoming McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament in Sigatoka next month. The event is expected to draw significant attention, showcasing the talents of renowned teams such as the national squads of New Zealand and Samoa.
In addition to these celebrated teams, the tournament will feature Australian and New Zealand development teams, alongside the Seattle Barbarians and Bula Bay 7s from the United States. Adding to the excitement is the star-studded Mike Friday Selection side, which is highly regarded in the rugby community.
Local representation will be strong, with the defending champions Fiji 7s team returning to the tournament. Other local teams include Fijian Drua 7s, BLK Lavidi Brothers, Tuva Rugby, Devo Babas, Ratu Filise, Colo West Highlanders, Taikita Brothers, and Brothers Club.
The matches will be held at Lawaqa Park from January 16 to 18, promising an action-packed weekend for rugby fans.
