Jonetani Tonawai, the chief executive officer of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF), is resigning from his position to explore new opportunities. Mr. Tonawai has held this role since July of the previous year.
FCEF chairperson Vinay Narsey expressed gratitude for Tonawai’s contributions, stating, “We fully support his decision and wish him every success in his future endeavors.” He noted that after a year in the role, it is time for Tonawai to shift his focus towards his passion for training, development, and personal business interests.
Mr. Tonawai reflected on his time with FCEF as both productive and enjoyable, emphasizing the importance of understanding the private sector’s needs and collaborating with stakeholders to promote sustainable economic development for both the private sector and the nation.
FCEF is committed to continuing its mission of representing the interests of businesses throughout Fiji and fostering a supportive business environment while beginning the search for Mr. Tonawai’s successor.
