A coastal inundation alert that was previously active for low-lying coastal regions of Southern Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, as well as the Central and Southern Lau Groups, has been lifted.

The Fiji Meteorological Service reported that a high-pressure system located to the far South of Fiji is anticipated to move eastward. This change is expected to generate and direct moderate southerly swells, significantly reducing the risk of coastal inundation in the Southern low-lying coastal areas of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office has indicated that there is now a very low to low chance of sea flooding in coastal areas, particularly during high tides.
