Fiji Coach Addresses Confidence Issues After 3-0 Loss

Fiji Coach Marika Rodu attributes the 3-0 loss to the Solomon Islands in their second Group A match of the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Samoa today to a lack of concentration and low confidence.

“It was a tough game. We conceded three goals, which shows our lack of concentration. In terms of confidence, we were not there in the first half; we were struggling and chasing the game,” Rodu explained.

He emphasized the importance of consistency at this level of competition and is determined to build his team’s confidence for their last Group A match against Vanuatu. Securing a spot in the semi-finals is crucial, especially with the Solomon Islands already advancing.

The Fiji Junior Bula Boys will face Vanuatu at 11 am this Thursday.
