Air Terminal Services (ATS) recently celebrated its dedicated employees for their long-term commitment and exceptional service. The event was honored by Finance Minister Esrom Immanuel, who praised the ATS staff as essential components of Fiji’s aviation and tourism sectors.

Minister Immanuel highlighted the critical role ATS plays in facilitating seamless travel through Fiji. He expressed gratitude for the staff’s contributions, noting that their efforts ensure passengers experience efficiency, warmth, and professionalism. “Every second, every moment and every detail has a fingerprint of ATS staff,” he remarked, emphasizing the importance of their work in various operational facets, including customer check-in, baggage handling, inflight catering, and aircraft cleaning.

He acknowledged the significant impact the ATS team has on the economy, describing their efforts as crucial and undeniable. “Your work is often behind the scenes, unseen by the traveling public yet felt by every traveler, every family, every business, and the nation as a whole,” he added.

The partnership between ATS and Fiji Airways was also highlighted, with Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO Paul Scurrah recognizing the intrinsic connection between the two. Scurrah stated that when ATS excels, the entire Fiji Airways group benefits, which enhances the travel experience for passengers and strengthens the airline’s brand. He pointed out that striving to become the world’s happiest airline begins with the frontline staff and the initial interactions passengers have with ATS representatives.

Scurrah expressed his admiration for the long-service employees, noting their loyalty and significant contributions to Fiji’s growth. Their commitment is not only respected but essential in maintaining the country’s reputation in the regional aviation industry.

The recognition event served to celebrate the dedication and hard work of ATS employees, reinforcing the vital role they play in supporting Fiji’s bustling tourism and aviation sectors.
