The Fiji National University’s Fiji Business Excellence Awards celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, honoring the nation’s foremost businesses. The event not only recognized outstanding enterprises but also emphasized the enduring commitment and resilience of Fiji’s entrepreneurs.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba highlighted the significance of the Silver Jubilee, stating that the journey toward excellence is continuous rather than a fixed goal. She emphasized that such commitment fosters improvement that benefits both the economy and society at large.
Mark Halabe, managing director of Mark One Apparel and recipient of the prestigious Business Excellence President Award, urged fellow business leaders to embrace the challenge of progress and to continuously strive for excellence. His message echoed a call to action for the entire nation.
The event also marked a poignant moment, as it was the last public engagement for outgoing president Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.
