Roy Krishna, the captain of the Digicel Fiji Bula Boys, will not participate in the opening game of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. Krishna is currently in India getting ready for the upcoming season with Odisha FC in the Indian Super League. He is expected to join his teammates for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.
Team manager Kartik Reddy announced that the squad has begun the second week of training under the direction of head coach Rob Sherman. “The boys are having two sessions daily, focusing on strength and conditioning in the mornings, and tactical and technical training in the afternoons,” he stated.
Fiji will play the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Following that, the Solomon Islands will face Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, at the same time and venue. Fiji’s final match of the series is scheduled against Hong Kong-China on Sunday, September 8, at 3 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Tickets for the matches are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
