Roy Krishna, captain of the Digicel Fiji Bula Boys, will not participate in the opening match of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. He is currently in India preparing for the new season of the Indian Super League with Odisha FC and is expected to rejoin the team for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.
Team manager Kartik Reddy noted that the team is in its second week of preparation under head coach Rob Sherman. The squad is focused on two training sessions each day, concentrating on strength and conditioning in the mornings and tactical and technical training in the afternoons.
Fiji is scheduled to play against the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The Solomon Islands will compete against Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, at 7 pm at the same location. Fiji’s final match is set for Sunday, September 8, at 3 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
