As the FIFA World Cup qualifiers draw near, Fiji Bula Boys’ head coach, Rob Sherman, expressed concerns over the unpredictability posed by recent coaching changes among their group opponents. With Josh Smith and Felipe Vega-Arango assuming new coaching positions, Sherman emphasized that this could alter their opponents’ playing styles.
“There’s an element of the unknown because Josh and Felipe are new in their roles. How they’ve played in the past might not reflect how they’ll approach the upcoming matches. We’ve done our analysis, but there’s always some uncertainty when new coaches come into play,” Sherman remarked.
With the backing of an enthusiastic home crowd, Fiji is determined to leverage their home advantage to achieve a positive outcome in the next round of the World Cup qualifiers.
