Fiji Bula Boys Captain Absent for Key Clash: What’s Next?

Digicel Fiji Bula Boys Captain Roy Krishna will be absent from the opening match of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. Krishna is currently in India preparing for the Indian Super League season with Odisha FC and is expected to join the team for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.

Team manager Kartik Reddy noted that the team has commenced the second week of preparation under head coach Rob Sherman. The players are currently engaged in two training sessions daily, emphasizing strength and conditioning in the morning, followed by tactical and technical drills in the afternoon.

Fiji is set to face the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Following that, the Solomon Islands will compete against Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, also at 7 pm at the same location. Fiji’s final match in the series will take place against Hong Kong-China on Sunday, September 8, at 3 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
