The Fiji Meteorological Services has issued a Heavy Rain Warning for the Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups, the Northern Division, and all of Viti Levu, alongside a Heavy Rain Alert for the rest of the country. This warning is attributed to an active trough of low pressure that is bringing rain throughout Fiji.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDRMO) has raised concerns about the potential for flash flooding and urges motorists to exercise caution due to adverse road conditions. Residents are encouraged to keep themselves updated on the situation through communications from the FMS and NDRMO.

As the nation braces for heavy rainfall, it’s crucial for communities to stay informed and prepared. Hopefully, by taking necessary precautions and remaining vigilant, the impact of these weather conditions can be managed effectively.
