The Fiji Meteorological Services has issued a Heavy Rain Warning for the Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups, the Northern Division, and all of Viti Levu. Additionally, a Heavy Rain Alert has been activated for the rest of Fiji due to an active trough of low pressure that is expected to bring widespread rainfall across the nation.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDRMO) has cautioned the public about the potential for flash flooding and has advised motorists to exercise caution because of deteriorating road conditions.

Residents are encouraged to remain updated through the Fiji Meteorological Services and the NDRMO to stay informed throughout this weather event.

This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of preparedness in the face of natural weather patterns. Communities can take proactive measures by reviewing emergency plans and staying connected with local updates. By remaining vigilant, individuals can better ensure their safety and that of their families during adverse weather conditions.
