A heavy rain alert is currently in effect across the entire Fiji group, prompting officials to urge residents to stay vigilant as unsettled weather conditions continue. According to the Fiji Meteorological Service, a shallow low-pressure system located near Kadavu is moving slowly and is expected to drift across the southern parts of the country over the next few days.

This system is part of a trough of low pressure that is affecting Fiji, resulting in widespread cloud cover and rainfall. Additionally, Tropical Depression TD03F is also present, situated to the far northwest of Fiji, near Vanuatu, and is moving slowly as well.

Residents can expect occasional rain that may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms in many areas. The persistent heavy rainfall raises the concern of flash flooding, particularly in low-lying regions. The forecast for Tuesday indicates that this trend will continue, with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms likely throughout the day.

As the situation develops, it is essential for residents to remain aware of their surroundings and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. The weather authorities will continue to monitor the conditions and provide updates as needed to help keep the public informed.
