A low trough is projected to primarily impact the eastern regions of Fiji, as confirmed by meteorologists at the Fiji Meteorological Service Office in Nadi. A heavy rain warning has been issued, indicating that various locations throughout the Fiji group will experience adverse weather conditions over the week.

The Fiji MET office has cautioned that heavy rainfall could potentially result in flash flooding in low-lying areas, particularly affecting Navua, Suva, and Nausori, along with intermittent showers and isolated thunderstorms. The forecast for Thursday predicts occasional rain, which may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms. Flash flooding is also a concern for Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, with cloudiness and showers expected, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Localized heavy rainfall is likely to cause flash flooding in susceptible low-lying areas. Additionally, Labasa is expected to experience occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms through Friday.
