WOWS Kids Fiji General Manager, Mere Williams, has voiced her appreciation for the organizers of the Zeg Kings Boxing Promotion, which will donate a portion of its ticket sales to support children fighting cancer. The event promises to be more than just a night of boxing; it aims to foster unity through sports, community spirit, and compassion for a crucial cause.
Williams emphasized the significance of raising awareness about childhood cancer, highlighting WOWS Kids Fiji as a charitable organization dedicated to assisting these young warriors. She articulated gratitude for the opportunity to merge the realms of sports and charity, stating, “This is a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about childhood cancer. Every contribution received from this event will genuinely impact the lives of children and families supported by WOWS Kids Fiji.”
She reassured potential donors that their involvement would not only assist children in their battle against cancer but also give them a chance to enjoy their childhood. The Zeg Kings Boxing Promotion is set for November 1st at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, featuring an exciting lineup of both local and international boxers.
Previously, WOWS Kids Fiji benefitted from a substantial $32,819 donation from the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA), which was raised during various football tournaments, including the Fiji FACT and the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants. Fiji FA’s ongoing support, rooted in corporate social responsibility, has played a crucial role in combating childhood cancer in the region. This collaboration reinforces the communal strength needed to uplift vulnerable children and their families, as confirmed by both organization leaders.
The combined efforts from different sectors, including sports promotions and charitable initiatives, showcase a united front against childhood cancer, providing hope and essential resources to those affected. With events like the upcoming boxing night, the community continues to rally around these children, highlighting the importance of compassion and collective action.
