Fiji Boxing Event Shatters Expectations with 50 Thrilling Bouts!

Fiji Amateur Boxing head coach Cam Todd has described a recent event as the largest amateur boxing competition in the past year. Originally anticipated to consist of 25 to 30 bouts, the event in Navua surpassed expectations by featuring a total of 50 fights, demonstrating the boxers’ preparedness and skill.

The competition was organized by the Kwaca Na Vatu Boxing club and took place at the Vashist Muni Memorial Primary School hall, drawing in a large crowd of boxing enthusiasts from the Namosi and Serua communities.

Todd expressed his excitement about the event, highlighting the significant growth of boxing in Fiji and the importance of capitalizing on the opportunities it offers. “The 50 fights is just amazing. It shows how the growth of boxing is here in Fiji; we just need to reach out and grab it,” he stated.
