The 49th edition of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s is set to take place from March 20 to 22, 2025, at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, marking the exciting conclusion of the Fiji Bitter 7s series. This highly anticipated event will see 52 men’s teams contesting for supremacy in a well-structured format that includes super pools for the top eight teams, while the remaining squads will compete in regular pools from A to K.
Adding to the excitement, the tournament will also showcase competitions in the under-21 category, accommodating 24 teams across eight pools. Concurrently, the women’s division will feature three pools, each comprised of three teams. There will be an emphasis on youth as well, with under-18 boys and girls competitions, highlighting the tournament’s commitment to nurturing future talent in rugby.
The Marist 7s has become a pivotal event in the Fiji Bitter 7s series, which has seen teams traversing across various locations in Fiji over the past six months. Devo Babas has demonstrated remarkable form throughout the series, securing five tournament wins, including titles at Wairiki, Labasa, Savusavu, Tabadamu, and Nawaka. Conversely, Wardens Gold enjoyed victories at the Kadavu and Yalovata 7s tournaments, while Police Blue and Fiji Blue have also claimed titles at previous events.
