A heavy rain alert is currently in effect for the Northern division, Viti Levu, Yasawa, and Mamanuca groups as reported by the Fiji Meteorological Service. The latest special weather bulletin indicates that a trough of low pressure, along with associated cloud and rain, is impacting the Western and Northern regions of Fiji. This pattern is anticipated to gradually extend across the rest of the country by tomorrow.

Residents in the Northern Division, Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, as well as Viti Levu and surrounding smaller islands, can expect occasional rainfall, which may be heavy at times, along with sporadic thunderstorms.

Additionally, the Fiji Meteorological Service has noted that the tropical disturbance 02F poses a very low risk of intensifying, and they have issued their final update on this disturbance this evening.

This weather update serves as a reminder for the community to stay informed and prepared for adverse weather conditions. While heavy rain can lead to challenges, it is also vital for replenishing water sources and supporting agriculture. With the right measures in place, the community can navigate the upcoming weather changes safely.

In summary, heavy rainfall is on the horizon for various regions in Fiji, with thunderstorms also possible, while the tropical disturbance appears to be of low concern.
