Michael Jennings, a veteran player from the Sydney Roosters, is set to join the Vodafone Fiji Bati for the 2024 Pacific Championship. The 36-year-old center previously represented Tonga in the last Rugby League World Cup and adds significant experience to the 21-member squad, which is currently missing key players due to injuries.
Notable players returning to the Bati include Kevin Naiqama, Maika Sivo, Waqa Blake, Tui Kamikamica, and Viliame Kikau, along with Premiership winner Sunia Turuva. The Bati will face off against the Papua New Guinea Kumuls in their opening match on Saturday, October 19th, at the HFC Bank Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 8:10 PM.
