The Vodafone Fiji Bati team gathered for camp yesterday, initiating their preparations for the upcoming Pacific Bowl Championship. Coach Waisake Kativerata announced that training will commence today. “We will meet at the Grand Pacific Hotel and hold a church service,” he shared.
Kativerata highlighted the importance of a gradual preparation approach as they gear up for their match on Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. “Training starts Monday at 9 a.m. We will walk from Albert Park to the hotel for our first session,” he noted.
He mentioned that they already have a strategy in place for the championship. “With just one week to prepare, most of these players come from professional backgrounds, so they are aware of the challenge ahead,” he added.
Kativerata expressed his confidence in his assistant coaches, particularly praising John Sutton from South Sydney. “We will focus on the small details leading up to Saturday’s game,” he concluded.
